Fidel Castro attended a congress of communists closing Cuban
The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, attended today the closing of the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.
During the meeting, which began on April 16 at the Palace of Conventions, delegates discussed and approved the Report Central to the event, presented by Raul Castro at the inauguration.
Five committees and plenary discussed the Draft Policy Guidelines Economic and Social Party and the Revolution, which received the approval after further exchanges and extensive consultation.
Also, the VI Congress directed the Government to establish a Standing Committee for the Implementation and Development of these guidelines, without impairing the functions of the bodies of central state administration.
